This is a photo sequence containing 70 lightening strikes which was taken at Ikaria Island during a severe thunderstorm that took place on the night of a total lunar eclipse; June 15, 2011.

“In order to make the sequence, I set the camera to a tripod taking 20 second shots continuously. After 83 minutes I ended up with approximately 90 lightning shots.

Friday we had a few hours to spare before our granddaughter’s gymnastics competition was to begin.  So we spent a few hours at the Japanese Garden in Washington Park in Portland.  I’d heard a lot about the gardens and have wanted to see them.  I wasn’t disappointed.  I loved it there.
